Definitions

SCA

  1. SCA USInc. means the Society for Creative Anachronism Inc.Incorporated, incorporated in California, USA.
  2. SCA Ltd means the Society for Creative Anachronism Ltd, the company representing the SCA in Australia.
  3. SCANZ means the Society for Creative Anachronism (New Zealand) Incorporated.
  4. SCA means the collection of affiliated organisations which includes SCA USInc., SCA Ltd and SCANZ.

Lochac

  1. Lochac means the Kingdom of Lochac:, a branch of the SCA which encompasses all SCA activities and groups within Australia and New Zealand.
  2. In this document, "kingdom" or "the kingdom" shall also be understood to mean the Kingdom of Lochac.

Laws

  1. "Law" or "Laws" used without qualifiers means the Law or Laws of the Kingdom of Lochac; i.e. this document.

Corpora

  1. Corpora means the Corpora of the SCAUSInc., one of the governing documents of the SCA US.SCA Inc. It contains the policies governing historical re-creation within the SCA.

Member

  1. A member is a subscribing member of the SCA Ltd or SCANZ or a formally affiliated organisation. Do we also mean event members?

Seneschal

  1. Unless specifically stated otherwise Seneschal means the Lochac Kingdom Seneschal. Why not specify throughout?

Registrar

  1. Registrar means the registrar of SCA Ltd or of SCANZ as applicable. This term does not appear anywhere else in the document

Pegasus

  1. Pegasus is the official newsletter of Lochac, the SCA Ltd and SCANZ.

Kingdom website

  1. The kingdom website is http://lochac.sca.org/.

Mail

  1. Unless specifically stated otherwise, the term mail includes email and postal mail. This term does not appear anywhere else in the document

Official event

  1. An official event means an SCA event as defined in the Corpora. of the SCA US.

Steward

  1. Steward means the subscribing member of the SCA who is the person responsible for an official event.

Sovereign

  1. Sovereign means the contestant of Crown Tournament who fought and won, and was subsequently crowned as King or Queen.

Consort

  1. Consort means the person who entered Crown Tournament with the person who won Crown Tournament and was subsequently crowned as King or Queen.

The Crown

The Crown means the Sovereign and Consort of Lochac, acting together

Royal titles

The King/Queen/Crown

The titles "King", "Queen" and "Crown" are reserved for the Sovereign and/or Consort.

Crown Prince/Crown Princess

  1. The titles "Crown Prince" or "Crown Princess" are reserved for the Royal Heirs.
