Kingdom Law - Change log

Kingdom Law was due for a bit of an update due to the changes needed to comply with changes to SCANZ's constitution. We have made typographical updates for proper nouns, added or removed commas where needed, corrected names of organisations. Numbering updated to decimal. Paragraphs have been broken into individual referancable rules.More substantial changes are noted below.

Corpora means the Corpora of the SCA Inc., one of the governing documents of SCA Inc. It contains the policies governing historical re-creation within the SCA.

I.5 Member

Was
A member is a subscribing member of the SCA Ltd or SCANZ or a formally affiliated organisation.
Now
A member is a subscribing member of SCA Ltd or SCANZ, an event member, or a member of a formally affiliated organisation.

We have more types of people that we recognise as members. We have specified which type of membership is needed where relevant.

I.6 Seneschal

Was
Unless specifically stated otherwise Seneschal means the Lochac Kingdom Seneschal.

I.7 Registrar

Registrar means the registrar of SCA Ltd or of SCANZ as applicable.

I.8 (now 1.6) Pegasus

Pegasus is the official newsletter of Lochac, SCA Ltd and SCANZ is Pegasus.

I.10 Mail

I.11 (now 1.9) Official event

An official event means an SCA event as defined in the Corpora of the SCA US.

I.12 (now 1.10) Steward

Was
Steward means the member of the SCA who is the person responsible for an official event.

Steward means the subscribing member of the SCA who is the person responsible for an official event.

None, stewards already have to be subscribing members.

Specifying type of membership.

I.13 (now 1.11) Sovereign

Was
Sovereign means the contestant of Crown tournament who fought and won, and was subsequently crowned as King or Queen.
Now
Sovereign means the contestant of Crown Tournament who won, and was subsequently crowned as King or Queen.
Functional change
Allows for non-combat tournament formats in the future.
Reason for change
More tournament formats may become available.
